I've been developing a bit of a 'thing' for a certain style of lettering made popular in the 50's and 60's. Perhaps it could be described as bit 'goofy' or 'wonky', it's just the sort of thing that might be found on a board game from the 50's and 60's.
I find myself fascinated, I think, because a lot of this lettering requires a fair amount of skill, for something that's intended to represent fun and whimsy, almost carelessness. It's taken me a long time to find it attractive, but it is beginning to grow on me.
